The Company purchases precious metals and cobalt from mines in Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Canada and other countries under long-term precious metals purchase contracts and profits from the difference between the payment and sale prices. The Company acquires precious metals from its counterparties, typically at or below prevailing market prices, for an upfront payment plus additional cash upon delivery.
