A real estate investment trust that invests in and manages mortgage-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights and other financial assets. It engages in mortgage-backed securities whose principal and interest payments are guaranteed by U.S. government agencies and U.S. government-sponsored enterprises. It seeks to provide attractive risk-adjusted total returns to its shareholders over the long term, primarily through dividends and capital appreciation.
